When Poor Planning Hits Home: A Resident’s Perspective from Springfield Road

Yesterday on Springfield Road, a line of vehicles blocked driveways and created a dangerous situation for residents. One resident shared, “…we have a line of vehicles getting into Tranquility. These vehicles block our road and driveways. We have many elderly people that may need EMS or our homes could be on fire. These commercial vehicles won't be able to move out of the way.”

This is just one example of what happens when the Board makes bad decisions—like allowing Springfield Road to be a construction entrance. What's more, Buddy Spencer, the developer behind this project, was a member of the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. When politicians move on and developers profit, it's the citizens who are left to suffer. We won’t allow another Springfield Road on our watch.

We do want to thank Sheriff Montgomery and Fire Chief Kopczynski for their prompt attention to this matter.

Watch the video from a resident’s driveway to see the full extent of the issue.
